I love 16 and pregnant, but i don’t think that it is realistic all the time. They show some good times and some bad times, but they don’t show the entire pain that comes along with being pregnant. Like the morning sickness or some of the other side effects of pregnancy. I also agree that we need to not only educate about sex but also about ways not to get pregnant.

I think that it is crazy how people get at Christmas time. It’s not all about how many gifts people get it should be about more than that. I think people have really lost what the point of Christmas is. I think that is a great idea to go out to eat with your rather than spending money. You still get to spend time with your friends and that means more than any gift you could get

I am so glad that this semester is almost over. It has been a crazy on for me. i took 18 hours this semester and i am in like brain overload. I think that it is really important that people remember to get sleep because if your pulling an all “nighter” your prob. not going to do very well on your finals anyways because you are going to be so tired and won’t be able to even focus.

I agree with you on this. I don’t think that the companies even care about the people I think they just care about making money. This year in my town someone got in a fight over a Barbie house like real over Barbie. People need to realize what the season is for and not think that getting the best deal is what it is all about.

I agree with you i think people do not know when they are going to far with social networks. They should be fun was to keep up with friends or talk to people from work, but we still need to use our brains. We do not tell everyone we see on the streets where we are going so why would you but this would up on the internet for everyone to see it. Someone could really get hurt by doing this.

I have not heard about this, but what a tragedy. I know a couple weeks ago my car broke down in the library parking lot at 1:30 a.m. and there was no one around to help me. I called campus police and they never showed up. I was so afraid, but luckily i got a hold of a friend to come get me. So, I really think this campuses need to start taking more precautions to make sure students are safe. I also think that a campaign would really be great to get safety awareness out there to students. Since most college students don’t think anything bad can happen to them.

I also agree with you that even if she does not like the spot light she should not let her feelings be so obvious. She did choose this career if she does not like it than why continue to do it. She is making tons of money and you don’t hear her complaining about that. She should be glad people are so interested in her because that mean even more money for her. She needs to be a little more grateful for all the things she has.

I feel like this is something that they are going to have to work really hard on to make sure that it is used for the right ways. I feel like for the past few years that the topic of legalizing Marijuana has really been more talked about than in the recent years. I am not an expert on this topic so I’m not sure what they should do about it. i just thin now a lot of people maybe pretending to have medical issues just so they can get the drugs. Because people now already do this with other medicine so i don’t think that this will stop them from trying with marijuana.

I also agree with you I don’t think this will hurt him in anyway. He has always been known as a hard musician. In the fact that he does do drugs and has been known to them for quit sometime. He has been in this business for a long time and I think it would take a lot for him to lose fans. People see him for what he has always been and they still have always liked him so I don’t think this is really anything that is going to surprise people.

I believe people are really taking this over bored. College kids have been drinking to much forever. Is it do to the fact it’s their first time away from parents or just people being irresponsible, who knows, but it does happen all the time. I remember my first year here on campus i came home one night and my roommate had one too many shots and she had to be taken to the hospital. Yes this drink is dangerous, but so is every type of alcohol. If you drink enough of anything it will hurt you, but it’s not the companies fault for making it it’s the person fault for drinking too much

Ed O’Neill said to the TV Guide that he did not thank Jane Lynch deserved the emmy that she received. He said she palys a cheerleading coach and doesnt event play a big role in the move. Most people said he just said this becuase his co-sytar off of Modern Family was alos up for te emmy. He is not the only one who has came out and said they did not think she deserved the emmy. MOst people think that she is not the main start of the show and should not be given this award because she did not deserve it. I personally do not watch Glee so i dont really know if she deserved this Emmy or not. With that being said i dont think people lashing out at her about this is right either. If the have a problem with her winning they should take it up with the Emmy’s and not het. She won the award and there is really nothing they can do about it. By people being rude and making comments it just makes them look bad and makes her look like the better person since she has not said anything about these comments.

I am an avaid Black Friday shopper but this is the first year that i did not have to chase people down to get my deals. I wennt ot Wal Mart later in the afternoom on Friday and i saw several of their deals were still there. Something i noticed that companies did this year was have Black Friday sales weeks before the real Black Friday. One of the companies that did this was Sears. The had commercials and other ads going around every weekend and the keep having leads ” Dont worry about he crowds come in this weekend and get your black friday deals.” I believe they should have saved all their resources and really promoted Black Friday. Even this years popular Thanksgiving newpaper had no where near as many ads as they have had in the previous years. If i would have been some of these companies PR advisor or marketing person i would have advised them to take different path. I would have advised them to put alot into their Blacj Friday deals because more people are welling to stand in long lines and wake up earlier on that day. Also, alot of people get alot of their Chirstmas shopping done that day so there is a lot of money that can come from just one day. Most of the time Black Friday will tell how the rest of the christmas will be regarding their sales.

On my way to school today i was listenng to radio talk show. They were discussing how for the first time in Sears history they are gonig to be open on Thanksgiving Day. Some people were calling in and saying they thoguht that if more stores start doing this than Thanksgiving is going to loss its meaning. Others called in and thought it was great, because it will allow people to get even more good deals on items. I heard what people had to say on both sides of the argument, but i don’t think that it is a good move for Sears. Thanksgiving is not about shopping or getting “good deals.” Thanksgiving is abou spending time with your family and to give thanks for what you have. I think by Sears doing this it could make them lose their image as a family store. They are showing that they arent really all about family values, but rather just about making money. I hope that other business do not pick up on this trend or Thanksgiving may turn into just another day.

I am a little obsessed with Teen Mom on MTV. For people that have not seen the show, it follows around four young moms as they go through their lives. Some of the mom have came under some scrutiny over this last season. One of the moms name is Amber and she has probably been the one to get most of the heat. In a few of the episodes it showed her heating her baby’s dad Gary. After every show they would have a small PSA about how domestic violence is not ok. Some people are saying that the show should not have shown this on TV. I personally do not think it was a bad idea to show this on TV. By them showing this I think it gave a realistic view of how hard it is to be a teen mom. I know that Amber from the show has recently been interviewed by the police and could loss her daughter do to her action on the show. I do not really know what they should do to Amber, but I don’t think that her violence should go unnoticed. I think the show gives a realistic view of how hard it is every day for these young moms. By having these show on TV it lets young girls know that having a baby is not allows that easy.

I am from Kentucky and this weekend I was home and almost all the commercials where political commercials. Since the primary election is just around the corner it makes since to see all the commercials. Something that is causing a lot of buzz in Kentucky is that some of the commercials are going too far. An example of this would be for the State Representative seat in Kentucky. One of the candidates was supposedly telling lies in his commercial about the other candidate. Some of the commercial even started accusing him of being a homosexual. The candidate that was accused of this has came out several times saying that this is not true. Also, he has said that these accusations are casing his family distress. Some people say it’s a race to see who wins and people will do whatever they have to do to win. While some people think you still have to have morals and ethics and calling someone names isn’t ethical or moral. From a PR prospective I think it is race to see who is going to win, but if I was working with a candidate I would advise them not make false statements. By having mean commercials I think that it can come back and make you look bad rather than make the person you are trying to attack look bad. I would rather have a commercial about how great my client is than wasting money to bad mouth the other candidate.

I have recently became obsessed with another reality show on TV, but this one is a little different than most other reality shows. The show runs on TLC and is called Sister Wives. The show follows a polygamist family as they live their daily lives. Since “coming out” as the man on the show says, he has came under a lot of judgment about his life style. Most people believe that they network TLC should have never put a show like this on TV. Since the show has been put on TV it has caused the family some troubles. The family recently was looked at by DCFS, to make sure they were running a good family for their kids. Many people are saying if they would have never started up the show than they would not be having these problems. I personally think the show is good and gives people a look into different lifestyles. I myself would never want a relationship like that, but I don’t believe what they are doing is harming their children. They maybe grow up a little unconventionally, but they are not beating or depriving their children from their basic needs. From a PR aspect I think TLC is genius they picked a show that is different from anything else out on TV. The show maybe causing a lot of drama but sometimes that is good for PR. Like the say “no publicity is bad publicity.”

Who would have thought that one nice twitter post could cost an NFL player $25,000 dollars. Terrell Owens player for the Cincinnati Bengals just recently had to pay the $25,000 dollars for a twitter past that he posted 90minitues before his game. The NFL has a rule saying that no NFL player can post a facebook or twitter posting 90 minutes before any NFL game. The NFL says they do this so that there is no negative talking before the game. They also have this rule to stop people from giving details about what will be happening during the game. Terrell Owens twit was nothing bad at all. It just said that a special fan was going to get picked out of the crowd to get a signed football from him. I can understand why the NFL has these rules but I don’t think this twit did anything to harm the game it was actually a positive twit. I am sure the fine is not going to break his bank but I don’t think that he should be fined for this. I can understand if the twit said something bad but it said nothing bad. Most likely it was not even him who posted it I’m sure he has an assistant or someone than actually manages his pages. So I think that person should be in trouble not him.

I was listening to the radio Friday morning on my way to class. Usually I do not listen to talk shows on the radio but they were talking about something that caught my attention. They were talking about the St. Louis Cardinals and their kiss cam. For those who don’t know what the kiss cam is it is a camera that randomly goes around finding couples to kiss on the camera. Recently groups for homosexual men were going to a cards game and wanted to be on the kiss camera. The Cardinals refused to put them on the camera. When the public relations people for the Cardinals were asked about this problem they had no comment. I do not think this was a good move for the Cardinals. They should have had something to say and by them saying nothing it makes them look bad. If I worked for the Cardinals I would have said how the camera is random and it does not know who it is going to get picked. By the camera being random everyone has an equal chance of being on the camera no matter your sexual orientation. By the Cardinals saying nothing in my opinion it makes them look like they don’t like homosexual people.

I was watching the MTV video music awards about a week ago and was shocked by Lady Gaga’s outfit. She was wearing an outfit made out of meat. If anyone has ever seen Lady Gaga before this night may not have been surprised by here outfit, since she is known for wearing “different outfits”. She has been coming under a lot of criticism for this outfit in particular. Since a lot people saw this as being a little cruel to animals and also it was disrespectful to people that don’t eat meat. She was on the Ellen show a few days after the VMA’s. Ellen is a known vegan and was asking her if she felt bad about the outfit and she said she did not see anything wrong in what she did. I am not a vegetarian and I even was insulted in what she was wearing. I also think that her PR people should have done more damage control after she wore her outfit. I think going on the Ellen show was a good idea but she should have said something more positive about what she was wearing. Instead of saying she did not see anything wrong with what she did she should have apologized if she had affined anyone. I also think that she should get involved with a non-profit that works with animal rights. This would show that she does care about animals and it was just an outfit and it did not reflect on how she feels about animals.
